My "Awards" Picks for MLB

Hello, again!
These are my picks for the Cy young, Rookie of the Year, and MVP winners of each league. They may not be right, but hey, it's my blog, and I can say whatever I want!
AL Cy Young: Fransisco Rodriguez
That's right, not Cliff Lee, not Roy Halladay, but K-rod. He has been more dominant than either pitcher this season, and is more valuable to his team than any starter. He is on pace to smash Bobby Thigpen's record of 57 saves. The Angels would not be anywhere near as successful as they are now without Fransisco Rodriguez
AL MVP: Fransisco Rodriguez. For the reasons stated above, it's gotta be K-rod, in my opinion. Not Kinsler, not Quentin, not Hamilton, not Sizemore, not any of those guys. The aforementioned hitters are not nearly as valuable to their respective teams as K-rod. Kinsler and Hamilton are on non-contending teams, as well as Sizemore. And Quentin is valuable to his team, but the White Sox' offense would be great even without him.
AL Rookie of the Year: Well, in all honesty, it should be Evan Longoria. It should be, but he's not my pick, because he is now on the DL. My pick is Armando Galaragga. He has cemented his place as a potential ace in the Tigers' staff, and is a top-tier starter in the AL. I see great things coming from him.
NL Cy Young: Well, I'd like it to be CC Sabathia, but he's only been unhittable for half a season. Tim Lincecum has been dominant, and so has Brandon Webb. I am going to give this one to Lincecum, just because of his low ERA and his high strikeout total. If he doesn't win it this year, he will next year. Tim Lincecum is a very good pitcher, with a lot of potential yet to be discovered. Oh, and an Honorable Mention is Johan Santana; he has left allowing 3 runs or less over 6 or more innings without winning 13 times. He has the 2nd best ERA in the NL. If K-rod were his closer, he'd probably have around 20 wins!
Almost done, people!
NL MVP: Well, I'm struggling between Ryan Howard, Matt Holliday, and Albert Pujols. I'm gonna give it to Holliday, because he is an all-around great player. Pujols is the most talented hitter in the league, and Howard is a beast, but Matt Holliday will consistently give 100% day after day. And if the Rockies do manage to win the division (it's a possibility!), then he is a lock for the MVP
NL Rookie of the Year: Edinson Volquez. There is no question about this one. He was a candidate for the Cy Young early on in the year, and has pitched well ever since. He is the Reds' ace this year, and even made the All-Star team. He is my Rookie of the year, the best rookie in both leagues.
Well, that's about it. Leave comments, PLEASE, and give me your feedback.

I agree with Card. K-Rod's not even the best closer in the league, he's just got a helluva lot of saves.
Where's the love for Morneau in the AL MVP I ask? Second in league in RBI and hitting above .308 with a wicked .335 with RISP, even with only 20 homers. I think he or CQ gets it
Couple things -
1) i dont see a closer getting the Cy Young. I see that going to a starter.
2) to win both the Cy Young and the MVP - noooo.
3) Santana's problem hasn't been just his closer - its the entire Mets bullpen that is ruining his chances at a 20 win season. Even their middle relievers blow chunks and the setup/closing pitching has been worse than godawful. The only way Santana wins 20 games on the Mets is if he pitches 20 complete games, something they'll never let any starter do.
4) Sabathia's dominance since June 4 has been absolutely astonishing. If it was just since the all star break, I'd have to agree with you, but he hasn't been TOUCHED since June 4. Go look at the game logs. I give it to CC if he finishes the season without losing a game, which is absolutely possible if he keeps pitching at this torrid pace.
Great blog dude!
